Hitrekk privacy policy

Last updated: 22 September 2026

Hitrekk is made by Four Suit Studio. This page explains what the app collects and what happens to it.

What we collect

Account. When you sign in with email or Google, we store your email address and an account ID with our backend provider, Supabase. This is how your hikes sync between your phone and hitrekk.com.

Routes and hikes. The GPX tracks you record or import, and any route you plan, are stored against your account so they sync across devices. A route plan and its recorded track (distance, elevation, pace, timestamps) are yours; we do not use them for anything besides showing them back to you and, if you choose to share a link, to whoever holds that link.

Photos. Photos you add to a hike are uploaded to your account's storage and shown on the map at the place they were taken.

Location. Hitrekk reads your device location only while you are actively recording a hike, so it can build the track. Location is not read in the background outside a recording, and is not collected for any purpose other than the hike you are recording.

What we do not do

Sharing

If you generate a share link for a hike or trip, anyone with that link can view it. Links are not indexed or discoverable, only reachable if you send them.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account from Settings in the app. This removes your account record, routes, and photos from our systems. Deleting the app from your phone removes the local copy but does not delete the account; use the in-app delete to remove everything.

Storage and processors

Data is stored with Supabase (authentication, database, file storage). No other third party receives your data.
